"Bother," said Pooh, as he chambered another round

Okay. After spending some time discussing the issue with Dangit last night, we have decided to suspend 25-man activity until further notice.
Why? The reasons are pretty simple:
1. Inconsistent sign-ups. Only twice since we reintroduced 25s did we not struggle to fill the last couple of spots, and one of those times was due to last minute sign-ups. We had enough sign-ups to run 24 hours prior to pull only once. The last two weeks, we couldn't even break 20 signups. That's pretty damn sad for an instance that we could consistently beat the first four bosses on. But this is exactly what we saw when Ulduar 25 raiding started falling apart. People, for whatever reasons, just stop signing up.
2. Lack of progress/backsliding. About a month ago, we were on the cusp of making some real headway. We got FC down, TV down, and just needed a little more "oomph" to get past Anub. Since that time, we have steadily started losing performance. More experience + less performance = WTF? It just really felt like folks were just going through the motions to gear their characters up.
3. Juice isn't worth the squeeze. Simply put, I really haven't enjoyed raiding since I started leading these things, but was willing to put up with organizing and leading them in the hopes that everyone would pull together and make Dangit and my's job a little easier. That people with better game and class knowledge than myself would step up to be battle leaders. That people would be willing to set aside pettiness and private agendas until we at least got things on farm. I have an entirely new level of respect for Flinter and Exeter and the crap they had to put up with. Ultimately, Dangit and I agreed that it just wasn't worth the extra work and frustration we were shouldering.
So, it's done. To those who really cared about the 25s and did the best they could, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and regret we couldn't pull it all together. If one of you wants to pick up where we left off, that's fine with me, although I would recommend letting things cool off for a bit.
In the meantime, I'm going back to being "just a healer", which believe it or not, suits me just fine. Got some good cracks at hardmode Toc10 last night and felt better about it than I have in months. So from where I stand, I have two healers now and am willing to help out anyone who wants em, schedule allowing.

Sometimes I feel like a man in the wilderness...I'm a lonely sailor out to sea. Drifting with the tide, never quite knowing why...sometimes it makes no sense at alll. - Styx, "Man in the Wilderness"
