The raid attendance list is consulted. DKP is not. We also go back and take a look at raid sign-ups to get an idea of who was sat when. I know Exetor is working out how to track that better. Also, people who don't show up for raids they are on the list for get bumped down the list. People who have been sat out recently get a bump up the list. When we are tackling new content, class balance and performance get weighted a bit more highly. And the core contributors tend to get first dibs on spots.
But, the authoritative information for raid selection is in my head. And Rayne's. There is no mathematical formula because that doesn't allow for the flexibility we need to set line-ups to be successful. I know this means it is very easy for folks to question those decisions. And I know that this has meant that a group of people have been sat out more than they would like, but I am doing the best I can to keep the raid healthy.
Gotcha. I'm not knocking anyone here. I just felt it was the place to ask the question. Being a somewhat anal CM manager, I have difficulties when data doesn't match. It's just good to have the process and data elements documented.
