Hit, Spell Hit, and Expertise

Stacking way more expertise than I now know I need for a gear set I'm calling Tank-Threat, on a recent SSC run I had 0 Dodges and 0 Parries on the trash mobs.  Pretty useful for staying on top of the threat meters.

There's an item off Priestess Delrissa, 3rd boss in Magister's Terrace called the Shard of Contempt (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34472).  I've seen it called the second best DPS trinket available, after the DragonSpine Trophy.  44 Expertise rating equates 11 Expertise, which equates 2.75% reduction of Dodges and Parries.  Now I know none of our melee ever hit from the front, so we're only gaining a 2.75% reduction of Dodges.  I'll leave it to you to decide how worth it that is.  PS. It also procs a buff called Heroism, a 230 Atk Power increase for 20 seconds.  Seems to proc a fair amount from my use (it's also found a place in my dungeon grinding set).
