The Application Process
« on: January 06, 2006, 04:37:51 pm »

For any prospective applicants that may be out there, please refer to this post while we undergo revisions to our website. Thank you for your interest in our guild and feel free to post any questions or concerns you may have!

The Application Process

1). You need a sponsor.  Your sponsor will be your advocate with the guild:  responsible for get your exposure with the rest of the guild, for keeping your application on-track, and for being your primary conduit of information and communication with all things related to your application.  As such your sponsor should be someone that you know well either in-game or Real Life.

2). You will be guilded as an applicant once you have a sponsor.  You will have a Trans tag, and will be able to participate in /gu chat.  You will not be a full member until a vote is called.

3). Your sponsor calls a vote. If you pass, your guild status will be upgraded and you will be given access to our Back Room here on the boards.

Not to scare you away, but the application process is going to be lengthy.  We're pretty slow at calling a vote so you can expect to be in applicant status for at least a couple of months.  This does not bar you at all from attending any raid or guild function, nor does it bar you from fair access to any loot that drops on any guild function.  Most of the time folks aren't overly concerned with the tedious process because you will be doing everything that a "full" guild member does.

To speed up your application period, get groupage with people.  Get to know them, and let them get to know you.  We don't expect you to drop everything anytime someone asks for some help on something, but we expect you to do you best to get out there and meet folks.

Don't expect a group every night of the week.  You are of Raid level, and raids can revolve around getting the right number of the right classes together.  Since space is limited, don't expect to get to go on every run.

Also, try to come by these boards when you have some spare time.  Contribute to the posts with your knowledge and insight.  Some folks will naturally not be on the same play scheduel as you, and their way of getting to know you can come thru this medium rather than in game.

Also, contribute in /gu.  It's unlikely that you'll be able to meet EVERYONE in during your app period, but you can certiainly do the entire greet-and-meet with folks over /gu.

Do all that, and remember to pay attention the the group and/or raid leader(s) while out on hunts, and you'll make a good fit with us.

And if you are leading, well then make sure folks are listening to YOU =P
